| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή μελετά και αξιολογέιτο σχολικό εγχειρίδιο της Ελένης του Ευευπίδη, το οποίο χρησιμοποιείται στη Γ' τάξη του Γυμνασίου για την εισαγωγή των μαθητών στη μελέτη του αρχαίου ελληνικού δράματος. Στο πρώτο μέρος, αναδικ΄νύω τα βασικά θέματα της Ελένης του Ευριπίδη, όπως είναι η αντίθεση ανάμεσα στα φαινόμενα και την πραγματικότητα, ο πόλεμος ως μεγαθέμα του έργου, οι υπαινιγμοί του κειμένου σε σχέση με τη σύγχρονη ιστορικο-κοινωνική πραγματικότητα και τα διαφιλονικούμενα ζητήματα ειδολογικής του κατάταξης παράλληλα με το ήθος των πρωταγωνιστικών χαρακ΄τήρων του έργου. Στις επόμενες ενότητες διερευνώ θέματα διδακτικής μεθοδολογίας του σχετικού εγχειριδίου και επιχειρώ την αποτίμηση του σχολικού βιβλίου με γνώμονα τα βασικά κριτήρια αξιολόγησης των διδακτικών εγχειριδίων. Διαπιστώνονται αρκετά πλεονεκτήματα και κανοτομίες στα μέσα παρουσίασης που υιοθετεί όπως επίσης και ορισμένες ελλείψεις, για τις οποίες παραθέτω τρόπους βελτίωσης. Στην τελευταία ενότητα της μεταπτυχιακής διατριβής αξιολογώ την νεοελληνική μετάφραση που χρησιμοποιείται στο παρόν σχολικό βιβλίο καθως και την καταλληλότητα της για τη διδασκαλία της Ελένης του Ευρυπίδη στη δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | This postgraduate thesis examines and evaluates the school-book of Euripides’ Helen,
which is used in the third grade of Modern Greek junior high-school (gymnásio) for
the initiation of pupils into the study of ancient Greek theatre. In the first part, I
highlight the main issues of Euripides’ Helen, such as the antithesis between reality
and what appears to be, war as a mega-theme of the play, the allusions of the text to
the contemporary socio-historical milieu, and the much-debated question of its genre
alongside the ethos of the main characters. In the following sections, I explore matters
of teaching methodology of the related textbook, and attempt their evaluation
according to standard evaluation criteria for teaching manuals. It appears that there
are many advantages and innovations in the presentation of the material as well as
some shortcomings; for the latter I suggest ways by which weaknesses can be
improved. The last section of my thesis is devoted to the assessment of the Modern
Greek translation used in the present school-book and the suitability of this version
for the teaching of Euripides’ Helen in secondary education. | el_GR |
