| dc.description.abstract | Η Ανοικτή και εξ Αποστάσεως Εκπαίδευση, είναι μια φιλοσοφία και μεθοδολογία παροχής εκπαίδευσης διαφορετική από τη συμβατική, που συνεχώς εξελίσσεται και μεγάλο μέρος του πληθυσμού συμμετέχει και τη χρησιμοποιεί σαν μέσο για την επανεκπαίδευσή του και επανακατάρτισή του, προκειμένου να ανταποκριθεί στις νέες ανάγκες που προκύπτουν λόγω των συνεχών κοινωνικοοικονομικών μεταβολών.
Το Ε.Α.Π. είναι το μοναδικό Τριτοβάθμιο Ίδρυμα στην Ελλάδα που κάνει πράξη την ΑεξΑΕ. Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι για φοίτηση στα Προγράμματα Σπουδών ξεπερνούν κάθε έτος κατά πολύ το σύνολο των προσφερόμενων θέσεων λόγω των διευκολύνσεων που προσφέρει αυτή η μέθοδος σπουδών, καθώς η πλειοψηφία των αιτούντων καλείται να ανταποκριθεί σε επιπλέον ρόλους στην καθημερινή του ζωή, εκτός από αυτόν του σπουδαστή. Απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση για τη φοίτηση στο Ε.Α.Π. είναι η καταβολή οικονομικής συμμετοχής όπως ορίζεται στον ιδρυτικό του Νόμο. Λόγω της ιδιαιτερότητας αυτής, η παρούσα μελέτη εξετάζει το κατά πόσο η οικονομική κρίση, που έχει επιπτώσεις σε κρατικό επίπεδο αλλά και σε προσωπικό στη ζωή των πολιτών, έχει επιδράσει στις παρεχόμενες σπουδές στο Ε.Α.Π.
Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, παρατίθενται στοιχεία που τηρούνται στο Ίδρυμα για το σύνολο των Π.Σ. αλλά και συγκεκριμένα για το Προπτυχιακό Π.Σ. «Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων και Οργανισμών» (ΔΕΟ), εξετάζοντας συγκεκριμένα πεδία από τα οποία αντλούνται στοιχεία για την αντίδραση του φοιτητικού πληθυσμού στην πορεία των σπουδών τους. Τα πεδία αυτά εξετάζει και το ερωτηματολόγιο που διανεμήθηκε σε ενεργούς φοιτητές της ΔΕΟ, προσαρμοσμένα κατάλληλα προκειμένου να συλλεγούν χρήσιμα στοιχεία και να εξαχθούν συμπεράσματα για τους τομείς τους οποίους έχει επηρεάσει η οικονομική κρίση στο Ε.Α.Π. και σε ποιο βαθμό, ώστε να οδηγήσουν το Ίδρυμα στη λήψη των απαραίτητων αποφάσεων. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | Open and Distance Learning is an educational philosophy and methodology which presents differences to conventional education, and which is constantly evolving, so that a considerable part of the population uses it as a medium of restudying and retraining, in order to meet the needs that arise, due to continuous socioeconomic changes.
The Hellenic Open University is the sole Academic Institution in Greece that fully implements Open and Distance Learning. Those interested in applying for the offered Programs of Study annually greatly surpass the number of positions offered, due to the convenience of the specific mode of study, given that the majority of students have to live up to multiple roles in everyday reality, besides being a student. A necessary precondition in order to study at the Hellenic Open University is the deposit of financial participation, as defined by the institution’s founding law. Owing to this particularity, the present study examines the degree to which the economic crisis, which has affected the lives of citizens on a public and private level, has influenced their course of study at H.O.U.
In this context, the study draws on administrative records kept by the University in relation to all the Programs of Study and, more specifically, regarding the Undergraduate Program ‘Business and Organization Management’ (ΔΕΟ), and attempts to examine specific parameters that provide evidence on the reaction of the population of students in the course of their studies. The same parameters are investigated by the questionnaire that was specially designed and disseminated to the current students of ΔΕΟ, properly adjusted to collect useful data so as to extract conclusions in regard to the domains affected by the economic crisis in the H.O.U. and the degree to which this has taken place. Taking into account the research conclusions, there follow suggestions about appropriate measures to manage the problem that could potentially contribute to the decision making of the Institution. | el_GR |
