| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή κινείται γύρω από τη σφαίρα ενός διαρκώς εξελισσόμενου και αναπτυσσόμενου κλάδου, τόσο στη Κύπρο όσο και στο εξωτερικό, του κλάδου των εταιρειών παροχής υπηρεσιών Logistics προς τρίτους (Third party Logistics ή 3PL για συντομία). Παρατηρείτε ότι με το πέρασμα των χρόνων όλο και περισσότερες εταιρείες αποφασίζουν τη συνεργασία με εταιρείες παροχής 3PL. Έρευνες σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα έχουν αναδείξει τα πολλά και σημαντικά συγκριτικά πλεονεκτήματα στις επιχειρήσεις που εκχωρούν μερικές ή όλες τις δραστηριότητες Logistics τους σε εξειδικευμένες εταιρείες.
Ακολουθώντας τις παγκόσμιες τάσεις και υποβοηθούμενη από τη μεγάλη οικονομική κρίση του 2012-2014 η αγορά της Κύπρου άρχισε δειλά-δειλά στις αρχές τις δεκαετίας να ανακαλύπτει και να εμπιστεύεται το κλάδο των παρόχων 3PL. Οι κυπριακές επιχειρήσεις ολοένα και περισσότερο αντιλαμβάνονται τη χρησιμότητα της συνεργασίας με εταιρεία 3PL ως μια λειτουργική πράξη που έχει ως στόχο την υποστήριξη των πωλήσεων, του μάρκετινγκ και γενικότερα ενισχύει την ανταγωνιστικότητα των εταιρειών.
Σκοπός της έρευνας είναι να μελετήσει και να αξιολογήσει το κλάδο και να αναδείξει το ρόλο και τη χρησιμότητα του στο κυπριακό εμπόριο. Η προσέγγιση που επιχειρείται αποσκοπεί στο να λάβει υπόψη όλο το φάσμα του κυπριακού εμπορίου και στοχεύει στην εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων σε σχέση με τη δομή του κλάδου, τα προβλήματα, τις ανάγκες, τις τάσεις και τις εξελίξεις στη αγορά.
Η έρευνα υλοποιείται με βάση τη συλλογή πρωτογενών δεδομένων μέσω της αποστολής και επεξεργασίας ερωτηματολογίων, τα οποία απεστάλησαν σε επιχειρήσεις του κυπριακού εμπορίου και με ανασκόπηση της σχετικής βιβλιογραφίας, αρθρογραφίας και λοιπών άλλων πηγών. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The present dissertation focuses on the domain of provision of logistics services (Third party Logistics or 3PL for short) in Cyprus as well as abroad. This is an industry which continuously develops and improves. It should be said that more and more companies choose to cooperate with enterprises which provide 3PL services. Research, on a universal scale, has shown that there are many and significant advantage for companies that allocate some or all of their logistic needs to providers that specialise in this field.
In accordance to universal tendencies spurred on by the great economic crisis of 2012-2014 the Cypriot market, at the beginning of the decade has gradually started to discover and trust the above domain - i.e. 3PL providers. The Cypriot enterprises have increasingly started to realise the benefits of cooperating with 3PL companies as a function which aims at supporting marketing and increasing competition.
The purpose of the present research is to investigate and evaluate this domain and to point out its contribution, usefulness and benefits to the Cypriot commerce. The approach employed aims at exploring the spectrum of Cypriot commerce and reaching conclusions relating to the structure of this industry, its problems, needs, tendencies and market developments.
This research is based on raw field data obtained through the use of questionnaires sent to Cypriot companies and on the relevant literature review. | el_GR |
