| dc.description.abstract | Τα κρυπτονομίσματα (ψηφιακά νομίσματα που βασίζονται στην κρυπτογραφία για τη διασφάλιση δοσοληψιών) μπορούν να θεωρηθούν πλέον ως ένα νέο μέσο συναλλαγών. Οι ηλεκτρονικές και μη επιχειρήσεις καθώς και το αγοραστικό ή επενδυτικό κοινό στρέφεται προς αυτά. Σε αυτό το γεγονός συντέλεσε η έλλειψη εμπιστοσύνης στην αξιοπιστία των χρηματοπιστωτικών ιδρυμάτων.
Στόχος αυτής της μεταπτυχιακής διατριβής είναι η βιβλιογραφική επισκόπηση της εμπιστοσύνης στα κρυπτονομίσματα και πώς επηρεάζεται αυτή και η μελέτη της άποψης και εμπιστοσύνης που δείχνουν σε αυτά οι Έλληνες και Κύπριοι νεαρής ηλικίας.
Για τη μελέτη της άποψης και εμπιστοσύνης που δείχνουν στα κρυπτονομίσματα οι Έλληνες και Κύπριοι νεαρής ηλικίας διεξήχθη ποσοτική έρευνα με δείγμα φοιτητές του Μαθηματικού Τμήματος του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης και μεταπτυχιακούς φοιτητές του ΜΠΣ Πληροφοριακά και Επικοινωνιακά Συστήματα του Ανοιχτού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου.
Διαμοιράστηκε ερωτηματολόγιο με ερωτήσεις σχετικές με τις γνώσεις, τη χρήση, την εμπιστοσύνη και τους παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν την εμπιστοσύνη στα κρυπτονομίσματα.
Οι απαντήσεις συλλέχτηκαν το 2017 και τα αποτελέσματα δεν ήταν αναμενόμενα σχετικά με τις γνώσεις και τη χρήση των κρυπτονομισμάτων, δεδομένου ότι το δείγμα επιλέχθηκε έτσι ώστε να είναι σχετικό με την τεχνολογία. Η εμπιστοσύνη του δείγματος δεν ήταν αρκετή για να έχουν επενδύσει στα κρυπτονομίσματα, αλλά με πρόθεση να επενδύσουν ίσως μελλοντικά εφόσον η άποψή τους για το μέλλον των κρυπτονομισμάτων ήταν θετική.
Τέλος, οι παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν την εμπιστοσύνη του δείγματος συγκλίνουν με αυτούς της υπάρχουσας βιβλιογραφία, με πιο δημοφιλή παράγοντα την ασφάλεια των κρυπτονομισμάτων. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The cryptocurrencies (digital currencies based on blockhain technology) can nowadays be considered as a new means of trading. Both online and non-businesses as well as the buying or investing public are turning to them. The lack of confidence in the credibility of financial institutions contributed to this.
The aim of this master thesis is the bibliographic overview of trust in cryptocurrencies and how it is influenced and the study of the view and confidence on cryptocurrencies shown by young Greeks and Cypriots.
In order to study the latter, a quantitative survey was carried out with a sample of students of the Mathematical Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and postgraduate students of the Information and Communication Systems Master of the Open University of Cyprus.
A questionnaire was shared with questions about knowledge, use, trust, and factors influencing trust in cryptocurrencies.
The responses were gathered in 2017 and the results were not expected in terms of knowledge and use of cryptocurrencies, as the sample was chosen to be technology related. The confidence of the sample was not high enough to have invested in cryptocurrencies. They had though the intention of investing perhaps in the future, give that their opinion of the future of the cryptocurrencies was positive.
Finally, the factors influencing the confidence of the sample converge with those of the existing bibliography. The most popular factor among them is the security of cryptocurrencies. | el_GR |
