| dc.description.abstract | Το ψηφιακό νόμισμα (bitcoin) είναι ένα σύστημα συναλλαγών που δημιουργήθηκε από τον Shatoshi Nakamoto το 2008. Η ονομασία του ψηφιακού νομίσματος προέρχεται από την σύνθεση δύο λέξεων: το bit το οποίο αποτελεί την βασική μονάδα πληροφορίας στην πληροφορική και την λέξη coin που σημαίνει νόμισμα. Το ψηφιακό νόμισμα είναι λογισμικό ανοιχτού κώδικα και είναι διαθέσιμος σε οποιονδήποτε. Αποτελεί ένα κωδικοποιημένο εικονικό νόμισμα και διαφοροποιείται από τα υπόλοιπα νομίσματα όπως είναι το ευρώ και το δολάριο καθώς δεν ελέγχεται από κάποια συγκεκριμένη χώρα. Επομένως αποτελεί ένα διαδικτυακό παγκόσμιο νόμισμα. Οι συναλλαγές που γίνονται μέσω του ψηφιακού νομίσματος επαληθεύονται από ένα δίκτυο κόμβων και αποθηκεύονται σε μια δημόσια βάση δεδομένων που ονομάζεται blockchain. Η συγκεκριμένη μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή θα εστιάσει στο ψηφιακό νόμισμα, τις εφαρμογές του και τις έξυπνες συμβάσεις που το διέπουν. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | Bitcoin is a trading system created by Shatoshi Nakamoto in 2008. The name of the digital coin comes from the two-words combination: bit which is the basic information unit in computer science and coin which means currency. The digital currency is an open source software and is available to anyone. It is a coded virtual currency and differs from other currencies such as euro and dollar as it is not controlled by any country. It is therefore an online global currency. Transactions made via the digital currency are verified by a network of nodes and stored in a public database called blockchain.
