| dc.description.abstract | Εισαγωγή: Ο πολιτιστικός τουρισμός αποτελεί μια από τις κυριότερες μορφές εναλλακτικού τουρισμού και δημιουργεί οικονομικά, κοινωνικά, πολιτισμικά και εκπαιδευτικά οφέλη στην περιοχή υποδοχής, συμβάλλοντας στη βιώσιμη τοπική ανάπτυξη. Τα μνημεία και οι χώροι της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς αποτελούν έναν από τους βασικότερους παράγοντες προσέλκυσης του τουριστικού ρεύματος.
Σκοπός: Η παρούσα διατριβή στοχεύει να δείξει τη συμβολή του πολιτισμού στην τοπική ανάπτυξη και τη σημασία του μάρκετινγκ και της ενεργητικής συμμετοχής των τοπικών ομάδων συμφερόντων για την επιβίωση των τουριστικών περιοχών. Μέσα από τη μελέτη της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Φωκίδας επιχειρεί να διερευνήσει αν η ύπαρξη του Αρχαιολογικού Χώρου και Μουσείου Δελφών ενισχύει τα υπόλοιπα πολιτιστικά αγαθά του τόπου και αν υπάρχουν δυνατότητες περαιτέρω ανάπτυξης και συνδυασμού του πολιτιστικού τουρισμού με άλλες Ειδικές Εναλλακτικές Μορφές Τουρισμού.
Μεθοδολογία : Για την ανάπτυξη του γενικού μέρους της παρούσας διατριβής έγινε ανασκόπηση σε ελληνική και ξενόγλωσση βιβλιογραφία, σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά και σε εργασίες και πρακτικά συνεδρίων. Για το ειδικό μέρος πραγματοποιήθηκε πρωτογενή ποσοτική έρευνα με τη χρήση τεσσάρων ερωτηματολογίων που απευθύνονταν στους τουρίστες/επισκέπτες του Αρχαιολογικού Χώρου και Μουσείου Δελφών, στους τοπικούς επιχειρηματίες, στους φορείς τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης και στους πολιτιστικούς οργανισμούς/συλλόγους της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας Φωκίδας, έγινε αναφορά στα χαρακτηριστικά της περιοχής και αντλήθηκαν στοιχεία από την Ελληνική Στατιστική Υπηρεσία (ΕΛΣΤΑΤ) που αφορούν στην επισκεψιμότητα του Αρχαιολογικού Χώρου και Μουσείου Δελφών κατά την πενταετία 2012-2016.
Αποτελέσματα: Ο κυριότερος λόγος επίσκεψης των τουριστών/επισκεπτών είναι η απόκτηση γνώσεων και εμπειριών. Σύμφωνα με τις απόψεις των επιχειρηματιών ο Αρχαιολογικός Χώρος/Μουσείο Δελφών συμβάλλει στην προσέλκυση των τουριστών και στην ενίσχυση των επιχειρήσεων. Η πλειοψηφία τόσο των φορέων της τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης όσο και των επιχειρηματιών συμφωνούν ότι οι δεσμεύσεις και οι περιορισμοί που επικρατούν στην περιοχή δεν προάγουν την ανάπτυξη. Αντίθετη άποψη έχουν οι πολιτιστικοί οργανισμοί/σύλλογοι και στη πλειονότητά τους θεωρούν ότι η ύπαρξή του Αρχαιολογικού Χώρου/Μουσείου ενισχύει τα υπόλοιπα πολιτιστικά αγαθά του τόπου.
Συμπεράσματα: Η συμβολή του πολιτιστικού τουρισμού στην οικονομική ανάπτυξη της περιοχής είναι πολύ σημαντική. Ωστόσο υπάρχουν πολλές δυνατότητες αναβάθμισης και διαφοροποίησης του τουριστικού προϊόντος που δεν έχουν αξιοποιηθεί. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | Introduction: Cultural tourism comprises one of the chief forms of alternative tourism and creates economic, social, cultural and educational benefits in the host area, contributing to sustainable local development. The monuments and the cultural heritage sites are one of the most basic factors in the attraction of tourism.
Purpose: This thesis aims to illustrate the contribution of civilization to local development and the importance of marketing and active participation of local groups of interest in the survival of touristic areas. Through the study of the Regional Unit of Fokida, the aim is to explore whether the existence of the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi reinforces the remaining cultural benefits of the area and whether there are possibilities for further development and a combination of cultural tourism and other Special Alternative Forms of Tourism.
Method: For the development of the general section of this thesis, a study was made of Greek and foreign bibliography in scientific journals and the minutes of conferences. For the special section, original quantitative research was carried out through the use of four questionnaires which were directed at tourists/visitors to the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi, local businessmen, local government offices and cultural organizations/associations of the Regional Unit of Fokida. Reference was made of the characteristics of the region and data was gathered from the Greek Statistical Service (ELSTAT) which refer to the level of visits to the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi during the five year period 2012-2016.
Results: The main reason for visits by tourists/visitors is to gain knowledge and experiences. According to the views of of the local businessmen, the Archaeological Site/ Delphi Museum contribute to the attraction of tourists and the strengthening of businesses. The majority, both of the members of the local government and of the businessmen agree that the commitments and the limitations which are in force in the region do not promote development. The cultural organizations/associations are of the opposite opinion, and the majority of them consider that the existence of the Archaeological Site/Delphi Museum reinforces the other cultural advantages of the area.
Conclusions: The contribution of cultural tourism to the economic development of the area is very significant. However, there are many possibilities for advancement and differentiation of the touristic area which have not been fully utilized. | el_GR |
