| dc.description.abstract | Η ενεργός συμμετοχή των πολιτών στις διαδικασίες λήψης αποφάσεων σε τοπικό επίπεδο είναι απαραίτητο συστατικό για την ενίσχυση της δημοκρατίας και της χρηστής διοίκησης. Οι τεχνολογίες Πληροφορικής είναι απαραίτητο συστατικό ώστε να διευκολυνθεί η επικοινωνία και επαφή των Δήμων της Κύπρου αλλά και της υπόλοιπης Ευρώπης με τους πολίτες.
Ένα από τα επίκαιρα θέματα που απασχολούν την Κύπρο αλλά και τις χώρες τις Ευρώπης είναι η Μετανάστευση. Καθημερινά όλο και περισσότεροι πολίτες μεταναστεύουν από χώρα σε χώρα προκειμένου να εγκατασταθούνε και να προσαρμοστούνε σε ένα νέο περιβάλλον και σε μία νέα κοινωνία.
Για τις ανάγκες τις μεταπτυχιακής διατριβής έγινε μια έρευνα σε θέματα και προβλήματα που αφορούν τους πολίτες σε τοπικό αλλά και σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο. Η έρευνα έδειξε ότι ένα πολύ μεγάλο μέρος των θεμάτων και των προβλημάτων αυτών αφορούσε τους μετανάστες. Έτσι προέκυψε η ανάγκη για τη δημιουργία μιας εφαρμογής που θα χρησιμοποιήσουν οι μετανάστες για να ενημερωθούνε σχετικά με την χώρα της Κύπρου πριν εγκατασταθούνε σε αυτή.
Στόχος της μεταπτυχιακής διατριβής είναι η ανάπτυξη ενός οδηγού σε μορφή Mobile Application που θα απευθύνεται σε όσους θέλουν να μεταναστέψουν στην χώρα της Κύπρου. Ο οδηγός αυτός θα περιέχει μια σειρά από πληροφορίες που ο κάθε ενδιαφερόμενος θα μπορεί να μελετήσει προκειμένου να εγκατασταθεί στη χώρα αυτή. Επίσης μέσα από αυτή την εφαρμογή οι υποψήφιοι μετανάστες θα μπορούν να ενημερωθούν με πληροφορίες που θα μπορούν να αξιοποιήσουν προκειμένου να κοινωνικοποιηθούν και να γίνουν οι ίδιοι ενεργοί πολίτες.
Το Mobile Application που προέκυψε λειτουργεί σε συσκευές με λειτουργικό Android και έγινε με τη χρήση υβριδικών τεχνολογιών ανάπτυξης λογισμικού και συγκεκριμένα με τη χρήση του Adobe Phonegap Framework σε συνδυασμό με το λογισμικό Framework7 HTML Framework.
Μετά την υλοποίηση του Mobile Application έγινε δοκιμή από μια μικρή μερίδα χρηστών οι οποίοι το αξιολόγησαν συμπληρώνοντας ένα ερωτηματολόγιο. Τα αποτελέσματα της αξιολόγησης έδειξαν ότι το application ικανοποιεί πλήρως τις προσδοκίες τις μεταπτυχιακής διατριβής όπως επίσης και τις απαιτήσεις του. Παρόλα αυτά υπάρχουνε ανάγκες και εργαλεία τα οποία απουσιάζουνε από αυτό και σίγουρα θα μπορούσαν να ενταχθούν σε μία νέα έκδοση του. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | Active citizenship in decision-making at local level is an indispensable component of strengthening democracy and good governance. Information Technology is an indispensable component to facilitate communication and contact between the Municipalities of Cyprus and the rest of Europe with the citizens.
One of the topical issues that concern Cyprus and the countries of Europe is Immigration. Every day more and more citizens migrate from one country to another in order to settle and adapt to a new environment and a new society.
For the purposes of the postgraduate dissertation, a survey was carried out on issues and problems concerning citizens at local and European level. The survey showed that a very large part of these issues and problems concerned migrants. This has resulted in the need to create an application that immigrants will use to be informed about the country of Cyprus before settling there.
The aim of the postgraduate dissertation is the development of a Mobile Application guide for those who want to migrate to the country of Cyprus. This guide will contain a series of information that anyone can study in order to settle in that country. Also through this application, migrant candidates will be able to get information that they can use to socialize and become active citizens themselves.
The resulting Mobile Application works on Android-powered devices and was made using hybrid software development technologies, specifically using the Adobe Phonegap Framework in conjunction with the Framework7 HTML Framework software.
After the Mobile Application was implemented, a small portion of users tested it by completing a questionnaire. The results of the evaluation showed that the application fully meets the expectations of the postgraduate dissertation as well as its requirements. However, there are needs and tools that are absent from this and certainly could fit into a new version of it. | el_GR |
