| dc.description.abstract | Θέμα της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η Μελέτη και Ανάπτυξη Ηλεκτρονικού Φακέλου Ασθενή κατάλληλου για την Πρωτοβάθμια Φροντίδα Υγείας στην Κύπρο.
Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η περιγραφή της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης του Ιατρικού Φακέλου στην Πρωτοβάθμια Φροντίδα Υγείας (Π.Φ.Υ.) και της ανάδειξης της καθοριστικής σημασίας του Ηλεκτρονικού Ιατρικού Φακέλου στο χώρο των Δημόσιων Νοσοκομείων της Κύπρου. Οι στόχοι είναι: 1) Να προσδιοριστούν τα προβλήματα του μη ηλεκτρονικού (paper-based) ιατρικού φακέλου, 2) Να περιγραφεί ο τρόπος ορθολογικής διαχείρισης της ιατρικής πληροφορίας και 3) Να εντοπιστούν τα συστατικά εκείνα που θα πρέπει να περιλαμβάνει η υιοθέτηση του Ηλεκτρονικού Ιατρικού Φακέλου στην Π.Φ.Υ. για τη βελτίωση της ποιότητας των παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών.
Η παρούσα εργασία στηρίχθηκε τόσο στη βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση, ώστε να επιτευχθεί κριτική παρουσίαση του θέματος, όσον και στην ερευνητική μελέτη του θέματος, με σκοπό να αναδειχθούν σε εμπειρικό επίπεδο σημαντικά συμπεράσματα.
Στην εργασία αναλύονται οι έννοιες Πρωτοβάθμια Φροντίδα Υγείας, Ιατρικός Φάκελος, Ιατρική Πληροφορία και Ηλεκτρονικός Ιατρικός Φάκελος. Παράλληλα αναλύονται οι αδυναμίες του έντυπου ιατρικού φακέλου και τα πλεονεκτήματα και μειονεκτήματα του Ηλεκτρονικού Ιατρικού Φακέλου. Παρουσιάζεται μια επισκόπηση διεθνούς εμπειρίας και τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας. Η εργασία ολοκληρώνεται με την εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων σύμφωνα με το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο, τη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία και τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας. Επιπλέον, παρουσιάζονται τα μέτρα που θα μπορούσαν να ωθήσουν στην ομαλή και ορθολογική εγκατάσταση της λειτουργίας του ΗΙΦ στα δημόσια νοσοκομεία. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | This thesis is concerned with the Design and the Development of Electronic Patient Records suitable for the Primary Health Care system in Cyprus".
The aim of this paper was to describe the current situation of medical records in Primary Health Care system (PHC) and to highlight the crucial importance of the application of electronic health records in the field of Public Hospitals in Cyprus. The objectives were: 1) To identify the problems resulting of paper-based medical record application, 2) to describe the management of rational medical information and 3) to identify those components which should be included in the electronic health records in PHC in order to improve the quality of the health services being provided.
This research was conducted using a literature review, in order to achieve a critical presentation of the subject. Furthermore, we also used a research study in order to identify remarkable conclusions in the empirical level.
In our research we analysed the concepts of "Primary Health Care", "Medical Record", "Medical Information" and "Electronic Medical Record". We also analyzed the shortcomings of the paper-based on the medical records and the advantages and disadvantages of electronic health records. We provide an overview of the international experience and the research results. We presented our conclusions in accordance with the theoretical background, the literature review and the results of the research study. Furthermore, we identified the factors that could strengthen the efficient use of of the Electronic Medical Records in public hospitals. | el_GR |
