| dc.description.abstract | Το θέμα της διπλωματικής αυτής είναι η διερεύνηση κατά πόσο οι πολίτες της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας θεωρούν αναγκαία ή όχι την εφαρμογή του Γενικού Συστήματος Υγείας (ΓεΣΥ) στην Κύπρο, ποια τα ωφελήματα που θα αποκομίσουν οι πολίτες και ποιοι θα είναι οι δικαιούχοι του.
Αφού έγινε μια ιστορική αναδρομή πως ξεκίνησε το ΓεΣΥ και πού βρίσκεται αυτή τη στιγμή, έγινε μια ανάλυση/επεξήγηση ποιες είναι οι βασικές του λειτουργίες, τι θα προσφέρει και σε ποιους. Η έρευνα έγινε με την συμπλήρωση ενός ερωτηματολογίου από 105 τυχαίους ερωτηθέντες, διαφόρων ηλικιών, μαθησιακής εκπαίδευσης, οικογενειακής και επαγγελματικής κατάστασης.
Τα σημαντικότερα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας αναφορικά με την αναγκαιότητα του ΓεΣΥ στην Κύπρο ήταν ότι οι περισσότεροι ερωτηθέντες συμφωνούν πως η εφαρμογή του ΓεΣΥ θεωρείται αναγκαία έτσι όπως είναι η υφιστάμενη κατάσταση στα Κέντρα Υγείας. Θεωρώντας επίσης πως η εφαρμογή του θα αποτελέσει ένα σημαντικό βήμα στον τομέα της υγείας στην Κύπρο. Γενικά, στις ερωτήσεις που είχαν να κάνουν με την αναγκαιότητα της εφαρμογής του ΓεΣΥ και τα ωφελήματα που θα έχουν οι πολίτες από αυτή, όπως μείωση του χρόνου αναμονής και ελαχιστοποίηση των ουρών στα Κέντρα Υγείας οι πολίτες ήταν ξεκάθαροι πως είναι υπέρ της εφαρμογής και μάλιστα της άμεσης εφαρμογής. Αυτό οφείλεται και στο γεγονός ότι δεν είναι καθόλου ευχαριστημένοι με την υφιστάμενη κατάσταση που επικρατεί στα Κέντρα Υγείας, λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης και της αύξησης των ασθενών σε αυτά, γι’ αυτό και θεωρούν αναγκαία την εφαρμογή του ΓεΣΥ.
Από τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας φάνηκε επίσης, ότι οι πολίτες πιστεύουν πως η εφαρμογή του ΓεΣΥ θα προσφέρει υψηλότερου επιπέδου ποιότητας στην παροχή υπηρεσιών υγείας και ότι το σύστημα θα είναι ισόνομο και δίκαιο προς όλους τους δικαιούχους. Η οικονομική κρίση έφερε την αύξηση των ασθενών στα κρατικά νοσηλευτήρια με αποτέλεσμα οι πολίτες να θεωρούν πως χάθηκε οι ποιότητα της υγείας. Ακούγοντας συνεχώς για το ΓεΣΥ οι πολίτες έχουν αρχίσει να εξοικειώνονται με την ιδέα ενός ΓεΣΥ στην Κύπρο αλλά αυτό δεν σημαίνει πως έχουν την κατάλληλη ενημέρωση από τους υπεύθυνους τι ουσιαστικά σημαίνει η εφαρμογή του. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The theme of this thesis is to investigate if the citizens of Cyprus consider as an advantage the National Health System (NHS) or not. Which are the benefits that the people will gain and who will be the beneficiaries.
Going back in history how the NHS started and where it is currently, I analyse and explain which are the basic functions and what will provide and to whom. Research done by completing a questionnaire from 105 random respondents of different ages, education, family status and working status.
The most significant results of the research concerning the necessity of NHS in Cyprus it was that the most respondents agree that the implementation of NHS it is a necessity. Considering also that its implementation would be a major step in the health sector in Cyprus because of the current situation in health providers. In general, the questions had to do with the need of implementation of NHS and the benefits that the citizens will enjoyed as reducing waiting time and minimizing queues at hospitals were they clear support the direct implementation. This is due to the fact that it is not satisfied with the current situation in public hospitals especially now with the economic crisis where the number of the patients are grown up rabidly.
From the survey results also appeared that the citizens believe that the application of the NHS will provide a higher level of quality in health services and that the system will be equitable and fair to all beneficiaries. Citizens also believe that the quality of health has decrease because of the economic crisis. Listening over and over again for the implementation of the NHS in Cyprus people begun to be more familiar with the idea but that does not mean that they have the proper information that should have. | el_GR |
