| dc.description.abstract | Η κρίση ηθικών αξιών που παρατηρείται στη σύγχρονη εποχή, καθιστούν τη μελέτη του Αγαθού πιο επίκαιρη από ποτέ. Η εισδοχή νέων τεχνολογιών και οι εφαρμογές τους στη σύγχρονη Ιατρική πράξη, καθώς και ο σχεδιασμός των διαφόρων συστημάτων Υγείας μέσα από πολιτικές πρακτικές και αποφάσεις ενισχύει την ανάγκη επαναφοράς, κατανόησης και ενίσχυσης εννοιών, όπως του Αγαθού με επίκεντρο πάντα τον άνθρωπο. Οι ποικίλες εκφάνσεις της έννοιας του Αγαθού, όπως διδάχθηκε από τον Αριστοτέλη και τους Στωικούς, με την πρακτική εφαρμογή τους στη σύγχρονη Ιατρική πράξη και τις ηθικές και πολιτικές προεκτάσεις που μπορεί να έχουν, θα μελετηθούν και θα αναπτυχθούν στην παρούσα διατριβή.
Αρχικά θα γίνει αναφορά στον ίδιο τον Αριστοτέλη και στη συνέχεια θα αναλυθεί η έννοια του αγαθού και της ευδαιμονίας, με βασικό πυρήνα τη διδασκαλία του μέσα από τους τόμους των Ηθικών Νικομαχείων, αλλά και με τη βοήθεια σύγχρονων και παλαιότερων μελετητών του έργου του. Στη συνέχεια θα αναλυθεί επιγραμματικά η έννοια των διαφόρων αρετών και στο τέλος θα γίνει η συσχέτιση των ως άνω με τη σύγχρονη ιατρική πράξη και τα συστήματα υγείας.
Ακολούθως, θα γίνει σύντομη ιστορική αναδρομή στη στωική φιλοσοφία, θα αναλυθεί η διδασκαλία των Στωικών για την έννοια του Αγαθού, καθώς και τα χαρακτηριστικά του στωικού σοφού, όπως και οι απόψεις των Στωικών για την «έξοδο από την ζωή», αφού αποτελεί σημαντικό στοιχείο της διδασκαλίας τους. Στη συνέχεια, θα γίνει αναφορά στην ιδέα των Στωικών για την πόλη, δηλαδή «την Κοσμόπολη», και τελικά θα επιχειρηθεί ο συσχετισμός με την Ιατρική και την υγεία γενικότερα. Λόγω των «ιδιαίτερων» απόψεων των Στωικών σε κάποια θέματα θα γίνει σύντομη αναφορά στις θέσεις τους για τις εκτρώσεις και την ευθανασία. Στο τέλος θα διατυπωθεί μια γενική άποψη σχετικά με όσα έχουν προαναφερθεί κατά τα στωικά δόγματα.
Στα επιλεγόμενα, θα αναφερθούν οι τρόποι με τους οποίους οι διδασκαλίες των αρχαίων φιλοσόφων μπορούν να έχουν εφαρμογή στη σύγχρονη εποχή και ειδικά στον τομέα της Ιατρικής με έμφαση στην πανδημία που ταλανίζει σήμερα την ανθρωπότητα. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The crisis of ethical values observed in modern times makes the study of Good (Agathon) more current than ever. The introduction of new technologies, their applications in modern medical practice and the design of Health systems through political actions and decisions strengthens the need to reset, understand and enhance concepts like that of the Good with the human being as the epicenter. The various facets of the meaning of Good, as it was taught from Aristotle and the Stoics with its applications in modern medical practice and its ethical and political implications, will be considered and developed in this study.
Firstly, a short reference to Aristotle’s’ biography will be made, and then an analysis of the meaning of Good and the acquisition of Happiness (Εudaimonia) based on Aristotle’s teaching through his books of Nicomachean Ethics and the research work of modern and older scholars on Aristotle’s work. Then the meaning of several virtues will be analysed and at the end, the association between these virtues with modern medical action and Health care systems will be discussed.
Subsequently, a historical perspective of Stoic philosophy will be attempted, and then an analysis of Stoic teaching concerning the concept of Good, the characteristics of the sage and the beliefs of the Stoics concerning Death “the exit of life”, since this is a very important element of their teaching. Then there will be a reference to Stoics belief in a global community, the «Cosmopolis», and at the end the connection with Medicine and Health in general will be examined. Due to the «special» views of the Stoics concerning some topics, there will be a short reference to their views about the termination of pregnancy and euthanasia. At the end a general conclusion will be elicited.
In the last part, as general conclusion, the ways in which the teaching of ancient philosophers can be applied in modern times, especially in Medicine with emphasis on the current pandemic that makes humanity suffer for the last two years, will be discussed. | el_GR |
