| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία καταδεικνύει τη σχέση μεταξύ της ευρύτερης περιοχής του Κορυδαλλού με τις φυλακές που φιλοξενεί. Επισημαίνεται η ιστορική, κοινωνική και πολιτιστική ανάπτυξη του Δήμου του Κορυδαλλού, ενώ προσεγγίζονται θεωρητικά έννοιες, όπως η αστική βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη, η αστική ανάπλαση και η αναζωογόνηση-αναγέννηση. Στόχος είναι η σύγκρισή τους με πολιτιστικές πρακτικές για την ανάπλαση χώρων που ονομάζονται «αστικά κενά». Βασική μελέτη περίπτωσης αποτελούν οι κτιριακές εγκαταστάσεις των παλαιών φυλακών Κορυδαλλού. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, παρουσιάζονται τα μειονεκτήματα της υπάρξεως των φυλακών μέσα σε ένα αστικό ιστό. Επιλογικά, προτείνονται λύσεις ανάπλασης και αξιοποίησης του χώρου μετά τη μετακίνηση των φυλακών εκτός του Δήμου Κορυδαλλού. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | This paper demonstrates the connection between the Municipality of Korydallos with the Prison Facility that it hosts. The historical, social and cultural development of the Municipality of Korydallos is highlighted, and concepts such as urban sustainable development, urban regeneration and revitalization are in response to the theory. The primary goal is to combine them with cultural practices for the regeneration of places that they are called “urban voids”. A key case study is the site of the former Korydallos Facility Prison. Moreover, they are presented the disadvantages of having a Prison inside the urban fabric. Last but not least, solutions are proposed for regeneration and utilization of the space after the relocation of the Prison Facility outside the area of Municipality of Korydallos. | el_GR |
