| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή έχει ως κύριο στόχο την εξέταση και ανάλυση του λόγου και της παραστασιακής φόρμας του πολιτικού θεάτρου στην Ευρώπη του 21ου αιώνα. Για τον σκοπό αυτό γίνεται μια σύντομη ανασκόπηση του πολιτικού θεάτρου του περασμένου αιώνα καθώς και καταγραφή των τεράστιων κοινωνικοπολιτικών εξελίξεων της Ευρώπης της σύγχρονης εποχής που επηρεάζουν συνεπώς και τον κόσμο της τέχνης.
Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται ιστορική αναδρομή του πολιτικού θεάτρου από τις αρχές μέχρι τα τέλη του 20ου αιώνα, η οποία περιλαμβάνει διάφορους ορισμούς καθώς και παραστασιακές φόρμες από δημιουργούς και θεωρητικούς του θεάτρου, με στόχο την επιρροή και αφύπνιση του κοινού. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται οι κοινωνικοπολιτικές εξελίξεις του 21ου αιώνα οι οποίες επηρεάζουν την Ευρώπη και την οδηγούν σε ένα χαοτικό και αποδομημένο τοπίο. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο εντοπίζονται οι τάσεις και τα διάφορα χαρακτηριστικά των νέων μορφών έκφρασης του νέου αιώνα που έχουν ως κύριο στόχο την ενεργή παρουσία και συμμετοχή του κοινού. Τέλος, στο τελευταίο κεφάλαιο χρησιμοποιούνται ως μελέτες περίπτωσης το θεατρικό σχήμα Rimini Protokoll, καθώς και οι πολυσχιδείς καλλιτέχνες Dries Verhoeven και Milo Rau των οποίων το έργο έχει ως κύριο στόχο την προτροπή του κοινού στη δημιουργική διαδικασία της παράστασης.
Τα βασικά ερευνητικά ερωτήματα της διατριβής επικεντρώνονται στο πώς επηρεάζεται το θέατρο του 21ου αιώνα από τις κοινωνικές και πολιτικές προκλήσεις της εποχής, καθώς και με ποιο τρόπο αναγκάζεται να τις αντιμετωπίσει αισθητικά. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The objective of the present dissertation is to examine and analyse the textual and performance forms of the political theatre of the 21st century in Europe. The dissertation looks back at the political theatre of the former century and records the enormous socio-political developments that affect Europe today that consequently affect also the world of art.
The first chapter is a historical review of the political theatre of the 20th century and comprises various definitions and theatrical performance forms of theatre directors and theorists whose purpose was to influence and awaken the public to the changed social realities around them. The second chapter presents the social and political developments of the 21st century which affected Europe, making it a chaotic and deconstructed landscape. The third chapter identifies the tendencies and various characteristics of the theatrical means of expression of the new century that aim at the active presence and participation of the public. Finally, the theatre company Rimini Protokoll and the multifarious artists Dries Verhoeven and Milo Rau are used as case studies. Their work encourages audiences to participate in the creative process of the performance.
The key research questions of the dissertation focus on the ways in which 21st century theatre has been influenced by the social and political challenges of the time, as well as how it has been forced to deal with these challenges aesthetically and performatively. | el_GR |
