| dc.description.abstract | Η αυξανόμενη χρήση των νέων τεχνολογιών στον χώρο της ιατρικής είναι μια πραγματικότητα. Στόχος της είναι η παροχή των αρτιότερων και των βέλτιστων υπηρεσιών υγείας στους ασθενείς. Ένα προνόμιο και αγαθό που προέκυψε από την χρήση της τεχνολογίας είναι η «ηλεκτρονική υγεία», η οποία τα τελευταία έτη αποτελεί προτεραιότητα σε εθνικό και διακρατικό επίπεδο.
Η παρούσα εργασία μελετά τον τομέα της ηλεκτρονικής υγείας, τις εφαρμογές της, καθώς και τη διασυνοριακή περίθαλψη, η οποία στηρίζεται και λειτουργεί με τη συμβολή της ηλεκτρονικής υγείας. Γίνεται παρουσίαση των συστημάτων υγείας και το επίπεδο εφαρμογής των υπηρεσιών ηλεκτρονικής υγείας σε συγκεκριμένα κράτη. Επιπλέον, αναφέρονται συγκεκριμένα ευρωπαϊκά έργα που προώθησαν στο παρελθόν τη διασυνοριακή περίθαλψη, αναβαθμίζοντας το ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο υγείας.
Μέσα από τη συγκεκριμένη μελέτη διαπιστώνεται ότι η εφαρμογή των εργαλείων της ηλεκτρονικής υγείας και η ψηφιακή ανταλλαγή ιατρικών πληροφοριών βελτιώνει την υγειονομική περίθαλψη του ασθενούς, κάνει αποτελεσματικότερο το έργο του επαγγελματία υγείας, αλλά και αναβαθμίζει γενικά τα εθνικά συστήματα υγείας. Αποδεικνύεται τέλος, η βελτίωση των παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών υγείας σε διασυνοριακό επίπεδο, μέσα από την αναφορά συγκεκριμένων περιπτώσεων και σεναρίων. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The increasing use of modern technologies in the field of medicine is an irrefutable fact, its prime aim being the provision of high quality and state-of-the-art health services to patients. Electronic health is a privilege and a commodity resulting from the use of technology and has over the last few years constituted a priority at a national and transnational level.
The present paper studies the field of electronic health, its applications as well as cross-border healthcare, which is supported by and operates with the contribution of electronic healthcare facilities. In this respect various healthcare systems are presented along with the application status of electronic health services in specific countries. Further to this presentation special reference is made to European projects that promoted the notion of cross-border healthcare in the past, thus elevating the general European healthcare status.
Through this specific study it is unequivocally noted that the application of electronic healthcare tools and the digital exchange of health data ameliorates the patient's healthcare while at the same time rendering the work of the professional health expert more effective contributing to a general upgrade in national healthcare systems. Finally, the study highlights the improvement of healthcare services offered at a cross-border level by presenting specific case studies. | el_GR |
