| dc.description.abstract | Η μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή διερευνά τη σχέση Εταιρικής Κοινωνικής Ευθύνης (ΕΚΕ) και πολιτισμού στο κυπριακό περιβάλλον. Η ενδυνάμωση αυτής της σχέσης γίνεται αντιληπτή ως μια ευκαιρία πολιτιστικής ανάπτυξης και ταυτόχρονης βελτιστοποίησης του θετικού αντίκτυπου που μπορεί να έχει ο πολιτισμός στην κοινωνία και την οικονομία. Ειδικότερα για τον τομέα του πολιτισμού, ο οποίος στην Κύπρο αντιμετωπίζει σημαντικές δυσκολίες και αναπτύσσεται σε ένα άγονο περιβάλλον, η ένταξή του στη σφαίρα της ΕΚΕ πιθανώς να αποτελεί μία μοναδική ευκαιρία για οικονομική τόνωση και ανάπτυξη. Σκοπός της έρευνας είναι η κατανόηση του κυπριακού περιβάλλοντος στο οποίο αναπτύσσεται η σχέση μεταξύ ΕΚΕ και πολιτισμού, η διερεύνηση του τρόπου με τον οποίο εντάσσεται ο πολιτισμός στην ΕΚΕ των επιχειρήσεων στην Κύπρο, καθώς και η αξιολόγηση αυτών των δεδομένων για τη σύνταξη καθοδηγητικών γραμμών (εργαλειοθήκη) με στόχο την ενδυνάμωση της σχέσης ΕΚΕ και πολιτισμού.
Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, η μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή πραγματεύεται αρχικά την έννοια και πρακτική της ΕΚΕ στο διεθνές περιβάλλον, μέσα από την ιστορική της πορεία και τις παραμέτρους που τη διαμόρφωσαν, και αναλύει το γεγονός της εμφανούς απουσίας του πολιτισμού από τη συζήτηση για την ΕΚΕ. Στη συνέχεια διερευνά και αξιολογεί το κυπριακό πολιτιστικό και επιχειρηματικό περιβάλλον και αναλύει τα αποτελέσματα της πρωτογενούς ποσοτικής έρευνας για το πώς εντάσσουν πολιτιστικές δράσεις στην ΕΚΕ τους οι επιχειρήσεις στην Κύπρο. Τέλος γίνεται μία προσπάθεια συνολικής αξιολόγησης της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης και καταγραφής εισηγήσεων για την ενδυνάμωση της σχέσης ΕΚΕ και πολιτισμού στα πραγματικά κυπριακά δεδομένα. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The aim of the thesis is to explore the relationship between Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) and culture in the Cypriot context. A stronger bond between them is considered a catalyst for cultural development and enhancement of culture’s social and economic impact. In Cyprus, incorporating culture and arts in CSR constitutes a unique opportunity for their economic survival, in an otherwise hostile environment for culture and creative economy. The research aims to understand the specific context in which the relationship between CSR and culture is developed and how culture is embedded in the Cypriot corporate ecosystem. The overall goal is to use the analysis in order to compose a set of basic guidelines (toolbox) to make this relationship stronger and more fruitful for the cultural field.
In the above scope, in the beginning the thesis elaborates on the concept and practice of CSR in its global context and focuses on the obvious absence of culture among the topics related to CSR. It continues with the investigation and assessment of the Cypriot cultural and corporate landscape in its own peculiarities. Then it analyses the results of the original quantitative research on how Cypriot enterprises incorporate culture and art in CSR. Finally, based on the better understanding of the actual conditions of the field in Cyprus, the thesis tackles with the guidelines that would hopefully enhance the inclusion of the cultural field in CSR practice in Cyprus. | el_GR |
