| dc.description.abstract | Το τραπεζικό σύστημα αποτελεί την καρδιά του χρηματοπιστωτικού συστήματος μιας χώρας. Σε αυτό εντάσσονται οργανισμοί που κατέχουν τον ρόλο του διαμεσολαβητή ανάμεσα σε αποταμιευτές και πιστούχους, εξασφαλίζοντας τον μετασχηματισμό της ρευστότητας . Το τραπεζικό σύστημα συμβάλλει στην ανάπτυξη της εθνικής οικονομίας με την τόνωση της εγχώριας ζήτησης, την χρηματοδότηση δυναμικών κλάδων της οικονομίας και καινοτόμων επενδυτικών πρωτοβουλιών. Η αποτελεσματικότητα της συμβολής του εξαρτάται από την ύπαρξη αξιόπιστου θεσμικού πλαισίου το οποίο ρυθμίζει την λειτουργία της κοινωνίας σε οικονομικό επίπεδο και στηρίζει τις αναπτυξιακές διαδικασίες.
Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται η έννοια και τα χαρακτηριστικά του χρηματοπιστωτικού συστήματος ,καθώς και τους συμμετέχοντες σε αυτό. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο τονίζονται ο ρόλος και η σημασία των χρηματοπιστωτικών οργανισμών καθώς και η συμβολή τους στο σύγχρονο χρηματοπιστωτικό περιβάλλον. Επίσης θα γίνει και μια εκτενέστερη ανάλυση της Τράπεζας της Ελλάδος ως κεντρική τράπεζα. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο θα γίνει αναφορά στη μεγάλη χρηματοπιστωτική κρίση του 2008 και τις συνέπειες που είχε αυτή τόσο σε παγκόσμιο όσο και σε εθνικό επίπεδο. Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο, γίνεται αναφορά στις συγχωνεύσεις και απορροφήσεις των τραπεζών τις οποίες θα χαρακτηρίζαμε αναγκαίες ως προς την υφιστάμενη κατάσταση. Παρουσιάζεται λοιπόν ο νέος τραπεζικός χάρτης της Ελλάδος. Στη συνέχεια στο πέμπτο κεφάλαιο επιχειρείται η χρηματοοικονομική ανάλυση των πέντε μεγαλυτέρων ελληνικών τραπεζών. Στο έκτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται οι απόψεις δύο στελεχών του τραπεζικού χώρου, καθώς και σημαντικά σημεία από την ομιλία του του Διοικητή της Τραπέζης Ελλάδος στη Γενική Συνέλευση των μετόχων τον Φεβρουάριου του 2014. Οι απόψεις αυτές αφορούν την εξέλιξη και τις προοπτικές του τραπεζικού συστήματος και της οικονομίας γενικότερα.
Τέλος στο έβδομο και τελευταίο κεφάλαιο παραθέτονται τα συμπεράσματα της εργασίας . | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The banking system is the heart of the financial system of a country. In this system take part organizations that play the role of intermediary between savers and borrowers, ensuring liquidity transformation. The banking system contributes to the development of the national economy by stimulating domestic demand, the funding dynamic sectors of the economy and innovative investment initiatives. The effectiveness of the contribution depends on the existence of a credible institutional framework that regulates the functioning of society in economic level and supports the development processes.
The first chapter presents the concept and characteristics of the financial system and its participants. The second chapter highlights the role and importance of financial institutions and their contribution to the modern financial environment. It will also be a more extensive analysis of the Bank of Greece as a central bank. The third chapter will refer to the great financial crisis of 2008 and the implications this had, both globally and nationally. The fourth chapter refers to mergers and absorptions of banks which will be characterized as necessary regarding the current situation. Is presenting the new banking map of Greece. Then in the fifth chapter we attempt to present the financial analysis of the five largest Greek banks. The sixth chapter presents the views of two executives of the banking sector, and important points of the Governor of the Bank of Greece’s speech at the General Meeting of shareholders in February 2014. These views are about to the development and prospects of the banking system and economy generally.
Finally in the seventh and final chapter we present the conclusions of the work. | el_GR |
