| dc.description.abstract | Στην παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή, μελετάται κατά πόσο τα κρυπτονομίσματα μπορούν να ενταχθούν στην Κυπριακή οικονομία με σκοπό την βελτίωση του οικονομικού συστήματος, ενώ παράλληλα διερευνάται κατά πόσο μπορούν να λειτουργήσουν ως χρήμα ή μέσω επένδυσης.
Για να διαπιστωθεί κατά πόσο οι Κύπριοι πολίτες πιστεύουν ότι η ενδεχόμενη ενσωμάτωση των κρυπτονομισμάτων στην Κυπριακή οικονομία μπορεί να αναβαθμίσει το οικονομικό σύστημα, διεξήχθη έρευνα μέσω ερωτηματολογίου με ένα δείγμα 104 ατόμων, από όλες τις ηλικιακές ομάδες και μορφωτικά επίπεδα.
Οι Κύπριοι πολίτες ενώ φαίνεται να έχουν εκτεθεί σε ένα βαθμό στον κόσμο των κρυπτονομισμάτων, δεν έχουν εμπλουτισμένες γνώσεις που να τους επιτρέπουν να έχουν μια ολοκληρωμένη άποψη για την επιρροή που μπορεί να έχουν τα κρυπτονομίσματα στο οικονομικό σύστημα. Κυρίαρχη άποψη είναι ότι τα κρυπτονομίσματα δεν μπορούν να αντικαταστήσουν τα εθνικά νομίσματα, ωστόσο μπορούν και χρησιμοποιούνται ως μέσω επένδυσης με σκοπό την κερδοφορία.
Στο προσεχές μέλλον, θα φανεί κατά πόσο τα κρυπτονομίσματα μπορούν να επιβιώσουν σε μια λειτουργική οικονομία και κατά πόσο θα είναι σε θέση να χρησιμοποιούνται παράλληλα με τα εθνικά νομίσματα ή ακόμη και να τα αντικαταστήσουν πλήρως. Το βέβαιο είναι ότι έχουν συμβάλλει στην ανάπτυξη μιας τεχνολογίας η οποία μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για την εξέλιξη των υφιστάμενων παραδοσιακών νομισμάτων στην ψηφιακή εποχή. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The aim of this Postgraduate Thesis is to study the extent to which cryptocurrencies can be integrated into the Cypriot economy to improve the economic system, while also explore whether they can be used as a form of money or an investment.
To determine whether Cypriot citizens believe that the potential integration of cryptocurrencies into the Cypriot economy can upgrade the economic system, a survey was conducted with a sample of 104 people of all age groups and educational backgrounds.
Cypriot citizens, while exposed to some extent to the world of cryptocurrencies, do not have enriched knowledge to allow them to have a comprehensive opinion regarding the influence that cryptocurrencies can have on the economic system. A dominant opinion is that cryptocurrencies cannot replace national currencies but nevertheless can used as an investment option for financial gains.
In the near future, it will become clear whether cryptocurrencies can survive in a functioning economy and whether they will be able to be used alongside national currencies or even replace them completely. What is certain is that they have contributed to the development of a technology that can be used for the evolution of the existing traditional currencies in the digital era. | el_GR |
