Assessing the impact of risk factors in public projects.
Abstract
Today’s world is swelled in new and continuously changing data on a daily basis, increasing the risks faced by organizations of any kind. This dissertation focuses on the risks faced by Financial Institutions acting as Financial Intermediaries for financial support programs for SMEs and gives special attention to the CYPEF project. Through the literature review and personal interviews, these risks will be assessed and the CYPEF project will be briefly evaluated. The researcher came in touch with three high positioned stuff members of Financial Intermediaries in order to reach to conclusions about the risks involved in public financial projects funded by the European Investment Bank, as well as the significance and necessity of these projects. Through the final proposal, the researcher offers some proposals concerning the effectiveness and utilization of the CYPEF project and more generally, of the financial support projects.
