| dc.description.abstract | Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να διερευνηθεί ο ρόλος του πολιτισμού και των δημιουργικών βιομηχανιών ως βασικών εργαλείων για την ευρύτερη ανάπτυξη μιας περιοχής ή ενός τόπου και να εξεταστεί ο ρόλος των καλλιτεχνών σε αυτήν τη διαδικασία. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, η προσφορά των καλλιτεχνών καθίσταται σημαντική, γι’ αυτό και τονίζεται η αναγκαιότητα για προβολή και ανάδειξη προγραμμάτων αστικής αναβίωσης, μέσω των οποίων διαφαίνεται ξεκάθαρα ο σημαντικός τους ρόλος.
Η μεθοδολογία που ακολουθείται βασίζεται κυρίως σε βιβλιογραφική έρευνα ενώ στο τελευταίο κομμάτι της εργασίας, μέσω περιπτωσιολογικής μελέτης, εξετάζεται ο ρόλος των καλλιτεχνών στη διαδικασία αστικής αναβίωσης.
Μέσα από μελέτη και έρευνα διαπιστώνεται ότι ο τρόπος με τον οποίο εμπλέκονται οι καλλιτέχνες στη διαδικασία «μετασχηματισμού ενός τόπου» (artist-led regeneration) είναι συχνά πρωτότυπος και αυθεντικός με συνέπειες θετικές στον οικονομικό, κοινωνικό και πολιτιστικό τομέα. Τέλος, διερευνάται η κριτική που έχει ασκηθεί στην εμπλοκή των καλλιτεχνών στην αστική αναβίωση. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The aim of this report is to examine the role of culture and creative industries as key tools in the broader development of an area or place and to investigate the role of artists in this process. In this context, the contribution of artists is found to be important, and thus the promotion of urban regeneration programmes, in which the artists have a key role, is emphasized.
The methodology approach is based mainly on bibliographic research, whilst in the final chapter of the report, the role of artists in the process of urban regeneration is examined through particular cases studies.
Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that the artists’ involvement in “artist-led regeneration” processes are often original and authentic and with positive effects in the economic, social and cultural sphere. | el_GR |
