| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα διατριβή πραγματεύεται την συμβολή της επιστήμης της συντήρησης των καταλοίπων του παρελθόντος στην παραγωγή και στον εμπλουτισμό της μουσειακής ερμηνείας. Απομακρύνεται από την στερεότυπη αντιμετώπιση της συντήρησης ως ένα πεδίο που αφορά την επιδιόρθωση και αποκατάσταση των καταλοίπων του παρελθόντος και την προσεγγίζει ως ένα μέσο το οποίο συμβάλλει στην ανάδυση των αξιών της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς, στην παραγωγή του συγκείμενου των ευρημάτων, στην εξασφάλιση της μεταβίβασης των πολιτιστικών καταλοίπων στις επόμενες γενεές καθώς και στην συμπερίληψη του κοινού στην ανάδειξη και διαχείριση της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς. Επιπλέον, εξερευνά και αποκαλύπτει τους τρόπους με τους οποίους η συντήρηση μπορεί να ξεπεράσει τα στεγανά των εργαστηρίων συντήρησης και να μετατραπεί η ίδια σε εκθεσιακή πρακτική, η οποία θα συνεισφέρει στην ερμηνευτική κατανόηση των καταλοίπων του παρελθόντος και στην άρση των αποκλεισμών που παραδοσιακά τα μουσεία κατείχαν. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | This master thesis deals with the contribution of the conservation science to the production and enrichment of the museum's interpretation. More particularly, the thesis departs from the stereotyped approach that considers conservation as a field of repairing and restoring the remains of the past and approaches conservation as a means of contributing: to the emergence of the values of the cultural heritage, to the production of the contextual findings, to the assurance that these values will be transferred to future generations, as well as to the inclusion of the public in the promotion and management of cultural heritage. In addition, it explores and reveals the ways in which conservation can overcome the sealed environment of a conservation lab, by turning itself into an exhibition that can contribute to the interpretive understanding of the remains of the past and to the removal of the barriers that were traditionally held by the museums. | el_GR |
