| dc.description.abstract | Το ερώτημα της εργασίας αφορά το κατά πόσον η λιτή διαχείριση έχει τη δυνατότητα αφενός να μειώσει αποτελεσματικά τις σπατάλες κατά τις διαδικασίες παραγωγής και αφετέρου να προσθέσει ποιότητα στις διαδικασίες και ως επακόλουθο στα προϊόντα/υπηρεσίες που προσφέρει στους πελάτες του ένας οργανισμός.
Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι ενώ είναι ξεκάθαρη η αποτελεσματικότητα της μεθόδου σε περιόδους οικονομικής σταθερότητα, είναι ενδιαφέρον εξεταστεί αν το μοντέλο είναι εξίσου αποτελεσματικό σε περιόδους οικονομικής κρίσης, όπως αυτή που βίωσε το νησί από το 2013 και έπειτα. Ακόμα, θέλουμε να διαπιστώσουμε αν οι εταιρείες μπορούν να λάβουν σοβαρά υπόψη το μοντέλο της λιτής διαχείρισης και να το εφαρμόσουν στις δικές τους διαδικασίες παραγωγής. Τέλος, το γεγονός ότι δεν υπάρχουν ανάλογες έρευνες στον Κυπριακό χώρο, είναι ακόμα μια παράμετρος που διαχωρίζει τη δική μας έρευνα από όσες έχουν διενεργηθεί μέχρι σήμερα.
Τα αποτελέσματα που προέκυψαν δείχνουν ότι οι κυπριακές εταιρείες είναι σε μεγάλο βαθμό εναρμονισμένες με τις αρχές σκέψης, τις έννοιες και τους γενικούς στόχους που υποστηρίζονται από τις διδαχές τις λιτής παραγωγής. Σαφώς και χρειάζονται ακόμα περισσότερα πράγματα να γίνουν όπως η καλύτερη συνεννόηση με τους προμηθευτές και η μείωση του περιττού αριθμού προϊόντων κάτι που αντιβαίνει ριζικά με την ίδια τη λιτή σκέψη. Οι προκλήσεις που αντιμετώπισαν, αντιμετωπίζουν και που ενδεχομένως να αντιμετωπίσουν σε κάποια στιγμή οι εταιρείες που υιοθετούν το μοντέλο αυτό, όπως η εξειδίκευση υπαλλήλων, η δυσκολία προσαρμογής και η αντίσταση στην αλλαγή της υφιστάμενης παραγωγικής διαδικασίας, είναι ζητήματα που πρέπει να ληφθούν σοβαρά υπόψη τόσο πριν όσο και κατά τη διάρκεια εφαρμογής και αφομοίωσης της λιτής παραγωγής. Ακόμα, το γεγονός ότι πολλές από τις εταιρείες είναι αρκετά ικανοποιημένες από την λιτή παραγωγή παρά την περίοδο οικονομικής κρίσης που πέρασε το νησί, δείχνει την αποτελεσματικότητα του μοντέλου όχι μόνο σε περιόδους σταθερότητας αλλά και οικονομικής δυσκολίας. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The question of the current assignment lies to the capacity of lean management from one hand to reduce effectively the waste during production procedures and on the other hand, to add quality on procedures and consequently to the products/services that a corporation offers to its customers
The problem is that while the effectiveness of lean management is pretty obvious during periods of financial stability, it is interesting to examine if this model is still effective during economic crisis, like the current economic crisis which the island experienced from 2013 and onwards. Moreover, we aim to find out if the companies can take seriously the model of lean management and implementing it in their production procedures. Finally, the fact that there are no similar studies in the Cyprus field constitutes another parameter that differentiates our study from every other study that took place until today.
The results that emerged showed that the Cypriot companies are in a large extent harmonized with the basic principals, the concepts and the general aims that supported through lean production. Obviously, a lot of things need to be done, like the better communication with the suppliers and the reduction of the unnecessary number of products that produced by the companies. The challenges which the Cypriot companied faced, those they are facing now and those which eventually may face in some moment, like the specialization of the employees, the difficulty to adapt and the resistance of workers to the change of the current production procedure, comprised a number of issues that need to be taken seriously in mind, both before as well as during the period of implementation and incorporation of lean production. Furthermore, the fact that a lot of the companies are more than satisfied from lean production even with the period of financial recession that influenced the island, indicates the effectiveness of the model not only during periods of financial stability but also in periods of financial difficulties. | el_GR |
