| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή έχει σκοπό να δώσει ένα ολοκληρωμένο και επίκαιρο πλαίσιο ανάλυσης της συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης, καθώς και τις προεκτάσεις που αναδεικνύονται στο χώρο της διοίκησης επιχειρήσεων και οργανισμών. Ιδιαίτερα έγινε προσπάθεια διερεύνησης της σχέσης της συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης με τις βασικές λειτουργίες του μάνατζμεντ.
Η διατριβή αυτή πραγματοποιήθηκε με τη χρήση βιβλιογραφικής έρευνας σε θεωρητικές και εφαρμοσμένες μελέτες που αφορούν τη συναισθηματική νοημοσύνη και την εφαρμογή της συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης στην εργασία. Αρχικά περιγράφηκε η έννοια της νοημοσύνης και των σημαντικότερων θεωρητικών προσεγγίσεων, καθώς η συναισθηματική νοημοσύνη θεωρείται ένα από τα πλέον σύγχρονα είδη νοημοσύνης. Στη συνέχεια, ακολούθησε η ανάλυση του όρου της συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης, των σημαντικότερων θεωρητικών και πρακτικών μοντέλων μέτρησης που έχουν αναπτυχθεί και η σύγκρισή τους. Αναδείχθηκε η σημασία της συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης στην προσωπική ανάπτυξη του ατόμου και περιγράφηκε ο ρόλος της στην επιτυχημένη πορεία και εξέλιξή του. Επιπλέον, καταγράφηκε η αντίθετη άποψη μελετητών οι οποίοι αμφισβητούν ότι η συναισθηματική νοημοσύνη αποτελεί ξεχωριστό είδος νοημοσύνης, όπως και το ότι ορισμένοι θεωρούν ότι ο μόνος παράγοντας που οδηγεί στην υψηλή επίδοση και επιτυχία είναι η γνωστική νοημοσύνη, η οποία περιλαμβάνει και την ικανότητα διαχείρισης των συναισθημάτων. Ακολούθησε η παρουσίαση μελετών και ερευνών που αφορούν τη σχέση συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης με την εργασία και την υψηλή απόδοση. Τέλος εξετάστηκε η επίδραση της συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης στις επιμέρους λειτουργίες του μάνατζμεντ, ώστε να αναδειχθεί πώς αυτές μπορούν να αξιοποιήσουν τα οφέλη που συνδέονται με αυτή. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive and updated framework of analysis of emotional intelligence and the implications that emerge in the fields of business and organizational management. In particular the relationship between emotional intelligence and the basic functions of management was investigated.
The thesis was carried out based mainly on literature research about theoretical and applied studies on emotional intelligence and emotional intelligence at work. In the beginning the concept of intelligence and the major relevant theoretical approaches are discussed, since emotional intelligence is considered to be one of the most recent types of intelligence. Then, the thesis continues with the analysis of the notion of emotional intelligence and the most important theoretical and practical measurement models which have been developed as well as their comparison. The importance of emotional intelligence to individual’s personal development is also described along with the major role of emotional intelligence in the successful development and progress. Opponents’ views are also discussed; they mainly dispute that emotional intelligence constitutes a different kind of intelligence and they suggest that the only factor which can lead to high performance and success is cognitive intelligence, which includes the capacity of emotional management. Next, the thesis continues with the presentation of studies and research considering the relation between emotional intelligence and high performance at work. Finally, the significant impact of emotional intelligence on the individual functions of management was studied in order to outline how these functions can take advantage of the benefits associated with it. | el_GR |
