| dc.description.abstract | Στην εργασία που ακολουθεί έχει μελετηθεί διεξοδικά το τραπεζικό σύστημα και ο τρόπος λειτουργίας του. Στόχος της διατριβής ήταν η κατανόηση της λειτουργίας των τραπεζικών συστημάτων όπως αυτά παρουσιάζονται εκτενέστερα σε βιβλιογραφίες πολλών ερευνητών, οι οποίοι έχουν εντρυφήσει στο τραπεζικό σύστημα ανά το παγκόσμιο. Όπως έχει αναφερθεί προηγουμένως, για την ολοκλήρωση της εργασίας, η έρευνα έχει βασιστεί στην πρωτογενή έρευνα. Μέσα από λεπτομερή μελέτη σχετικής βιβλιογραφίας, έχουν εντοπιστεί σημαντικά σημεία, τα οποία επικεντρώνονται στο χρηματοπιστωτικό και τραπεζικό σύστημα, στους τραπεζικούς κινδύνους και στην τραπεζική εποπτεία.
Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται μία εισαγωγή στο χρηματοπιστωτικό σύστημα, όπου περιγράφεται η λειτουργία, τα χαρακτηριστικά του αλλά και το ποιοι συμμετέχουν σε αυτό.
Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο αναλύεται το τραπεζικό σύστημα, όπου γίνεται αναφορά στην δομή και οργάνωση των τραπεζών αλλά και μια ιστορική αναδρομή στην πορεία των τραπεζών.
Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται και αναλύονται οι κίνδυνοι που αντιμετωπίζουν οι τράπεζες, αλλά και οι τρόποι διαχείρισης των κινδύνων αυτών.
Τέλος, στο τέταρτο και τελευταίο κεφάλαιο αναλύεται η εποπτεία των τραπεζών, από το πρώτο σύμφωνο της επιτροπής της Βασιλείας για την Κεφαλαιακή Επάρκεια (Basel I), το πέρασμα στη Βασιλεία ΙΙ και τέλος στη Βασιλεία ΙΙΙ. | el_GR |

| dc.description.translatedabstract | The main focus of this dissertation is the way the bank system functions. The main target of the dissertation is getting familiar with the function of the bank systems, as these are being analyzed at the bibliography of many researchers, who have studied in depth in the worldwide bank system. As mentioned above, the main technique for collecting the data required for this dissertation is the available literature from academic writings. The research provided me with useful information for the various views on the financial credit and bank system the danger related the banks and the banking supervision have been found, in order the research to be completed.
The first chapter of this dissertation begins by presenting the function and the characteristics of the banking system in general and what it involves.
The second chapter concentrates specifically on the structure and organisation of the banking system and the historical background of the banks.
On the following chapter emphasis is placed on the dangers banks are facing and the how these are handled.
The last chapter focuses on the supervision of the banks throughout the first agreement of the Basel Committee for the capital adequacy as well as on the following two other Basel Committee agreements. | el_GR |
