Job Satisfaction and its Effects in the Workplace: A Relationship Based on a Multifactor Analysis

Abstract
As humans, if we follow the natural circle of life, after primary, secondary school and university between practical college or theoretical, many of us enter the era where we spend a big part of our lives until retirement, working. Some people call this working life adulting. Once we start working, we learn, develop, change opinions, start standing up for ourselves, grow and evolve. Part of this working era is how we live this working experience in our everyday life at work.
Here comes one essential pillar of the whole experience, satisfaction. And more specifically job satisfaction. Generally, in our life we find satisfaction both in personal and professional circumstances. It is often related to positive emotions such as happiness, realization and achievement. Job satisfaction is how someone feels about their job. Considering its importance, there are many studies about it as well as its impact on different aspects of the workspace.
The goal of this study is to explore job satisfaction by examining its relationship with a few key factors such as employee motivation, performance, engagement, leadership and job stress.
In this study we used quantitative research where we gathered data via an anonymous questionnaire with the aim to have a better understanding on job satisfaction relationships with the above-mentioned factors and be able to provide recommendations to organizations in order to enhance job satisfaction in their workplaces, reduce turnover and improve employee well-being.
